Establishing a data connection via a SIM card

  1. Drive cover is open.
  2. Ensure that the data service has been activated on the SIM card.

Risk of damage to the PCM owing to incorrect use of SIM cards.

If you are using a SIM card adapter, there is a risk of the SIM card falling out of the adapter due to vibrations and components of the card getting stuck in the PCM.

  • Do not use a SIM card adapter.

If there are several access points available, the message Several access points (APN) are available. Please select one. will appear. A list of all available access points (APNs) is displayed.

  • Select the desired access point (APN).
  • If there is no access point configured on the SIM card, you should contact the service provider to obtain the APN settings.
  • To configure the APN settings select button button SET PHONE Data connections Configure APN. To reset the APN settings select Reset access point configuration.

Additional costs may incur for receiving data from the Internet, depending on the phone rate plan, particularly when the system is used in foreign countries. We recommend a flat rate plan.

Data connection via an external WiFi hotspot

  1. There is no SIM card in the SIM card reader.
