Activating and deactivating service mode

  • Please contact the Security Operating Center (SOC) before and after having the vehicle serviced.
  • During servicing, notify your authorized Porsche dealer that the vehicle is equipped with PVTS Plus.
    In addition:
  • PVTS Plus with driver card: Leave the driver card inside the vehicle during servicing to ensure that PVTS Plus is deactivated.

Information
Make sure that your driver cards are handed back to you when your vehicle is returned to you following servicing.


Changing the driver card

If the capacity of the driver card battery is too low, a text message is automatically sent to the cell phone number provided. A notice appears on the multifunction display.

  1. Please see chapter "Warning and Information Messages" on page 327.

Changing the driver card battery

  1. Switch off the driver card and carefully open it using a suitable tool (such as a screwdriver).
  1. Please see chapter "Switching off the driver card" on page232.
  1. Change the battery (check polarity).
  2. Assemble the driver card and press it together firmly.


Declaration of conformity

The Porsche Vehicle Tracking System Plus (PVTS Plus) meets currently applicable European and harmonized national standards, and may be operated by anyone in accordance with the applicable EU directives. The device is fully compliant with the currently applicable electromagnetic compatibility specifications. Interference to your device through other electrical/electronic devices or equipment as well as malfunctions to other electrical/electronic devices or equipment caused by your equipment are therefore largely prevented.

Driver card
Vodafone Automotive SpA hereby declares that devices 2781 and 8015 comply with the fundamental requirements of mandatory EU directives and in particular comply with the fundamental requirements and other relevant regulations of R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EU. The devices bear the CE 0678 mark.

Telematics unit
Vodafone Automotive SpA hereby declares that device ICD45 (2145) complies with the fundamental requirements of mandatory EU directives and in particular complies with the fundamental requirements and other relevant regulations of R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EU and ECER10. The device bears the E24 10R-04 1146 CE 0678 mark pursuant to applicable regulations.
