The alarm system monitors the following alarm contacts:
If one of these alarm contacts is triggered, the alarm signal sounds for approx. 30 seconds and the emergency flasher comes on.
The alarm is triggered again after a 5 second interval. This cycle is repeated up to ten times (country-dependent).
Depending on the country, the alarm system is automatically activated 30 seconds after closing the last door or the luggage compartment lid if the vehicle key is removed from the ignition lock. This is also the case if the vehicle has not been locked.
Passenger compartment monitoring system and the inclination sensor are switched off. If a door or luggage compartment lid is opened, the alarm is triggered.
To deactivate the triggered alarm system:
Switching the alarm system on/off
If you unlock the vehicle with the emergency key in the door lock, you must switch the ignition on within 15 seconds of opening the door in order to prevent the alarm system from being triggered.
The time it takes to trigger the alarm system differs depending on the country.
