The following options are then available for you to select:

– "Repeat"
The voice control system repeats all recognized commands. You can switch
off this repetition. Switching it off makes using the voice control system
faster but this comes at the price of not knowing whether the voice control
system has correctly recognized the command given. Voice entries and
digits are always repeated, even if the function is switched off.

– "Quick dialog"
If you switch on this function, the PCM outputs certain announcements in an abridged form. This does
not change the information content of the announcements. This option is useful for experienced users.
– "Show hints"
This function is switched on ex-factory. If it is switched on and voice control is activated, the PCM shows
you commands that are available in addition to the menu items already shown.

4. Select the desired function to activate ( ) or deactivate it ( ).

Performing voice adaptation

The voice adaptation function allows you to individually adapt the voice control system to your voice, thereby improving thereby improving the system's voice recognition. This does not impair the recognition of other users.

Adaptation can only be performed when the vehicle is stationary. Please note the first five points in the section "Speech intelligibility" on page 152 in connection with this.

Starting/canceling voice adaptation

1. Press the button.
2. Press the button or touch the tab of the same name in the header.
3. Select "SET PCM system"
   > "Voice control"
   > "Voice adaptation".
4. Select "Start adaptation".
   Adaptation starts and commences interaction with the user.
5. Follow the instructions of the PCM and repeat each command and numerical sequence after the tone.
   Adaptation ends automatically after the last command and the data is automatically stored.
6. Select "Cancel" to cancel adaptation. In this case no data is stored.
