Displaying sections of the route

If you have started the route guidance component of your navigation system, a list containing all sections of your route will be displayed.
This function is not available if off-road mode is active.

  1. Press the button.
  2. Select "Route list".
    The sections of your route are listed and displayed.
    The section you are currently driving on is at the very top of this list and the final destination is at the very bottom.
  3. Select the desired section for a more detailed view.
    You then see a map section showing the route section in question.
  4. You can change the map scale if necessary by selecting the two symbols and .
    You can browse the various sections by selecting the symbols and or by turning the right rotary knob.
  5. If you would like to make a detour around this section of your route, select "Detour".
    To find out more about setting detours, please refer to the section "Setting a detour" on page 133.

Displaying information about the location

This function displays the precise data for your current location.
If the route guidance component of your navigation system is active, the next route section is also displayed.

  1. Press the button.
  2. Select "Location info" .
    The information about your current location and its environs is displayed.

Displaying detailed information about the active audio source

This function displays information about the audio source currently active.

  1. Press the button.
  2. Select "Details SOURCE".
    The available information is displayed.

If the display of the radio text has been switched off in the menu, it will not be displayed here either. To find out more about this, please refer to the section "Switching RDS radio text on and off" on page 25.
With digital reception, the station, the start/ end time, the name of the current program, the progress bar (showing how far along the program is), and the genre are displayed in TV mode. Further details about the program can also be displayed in a list. If the information exceeds a page, you can scroll through the text using the symbols and or by turning the right rotary knob. The availability and amount of additional information transmitted varies from station to station. With analog reception, only the name of the station and the channel on which the program is being broadcast are displayed.
